This weekend I, Ryan, put together a recipe based on a Russian Imperial Stout but with a Belgian twist. I wanted to brew a Belgian style stout like Ellezelloise Hercule Stout and others I had seen.
What makes it Belgian? I used Belgian yeast, Belgian hops, Belgian specialty grains and Belgian soft brown sugar. Check out the recipe. The recipe was also based on what I had on hand. Its fermenting at 66 this morning. Some oak cubes might be good in a gallon of this.
